Account Deletion — Tima
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Tima account and the data associated with it, as required by Google Play's Data Safety policy.
How to Request Deletion
You can request deletion of your Tima account in either of the following ways:
- In the app: Open Tima → go to Settings → Delete Account → confirm twice. This opens a pre-filled email to our support team on your behalf.
- By email: Send an email to timatrackinfo@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. Please include your registered email so we can locate your account.
You do not need to have the app installed to request deletion — emailing us directly is sufficient.
Processing Time
We begin processing every deletion request within 7 business days of receipt and complete full deletion — including from backups — within 30 days. You will receive an email confirmation once your account and data have been permanently deleted.
What Gets Deleted
Requesting account deletion permanently removes:
- Your account credentials and profile (email, name, age, height, weight, goals)
- All food log entries (manual, AI-analyzed, and barcode-scanned meals)
- Daily and weekly nutrition summaries
- Weight history entries
- Water intake records
- Streaks, milestones, and in-app achievement data
- Saved foods and food/barcode reports linked to your account
- Push notification tokens
What May Be Retained, and For How Long
Some limited data is retained after deletion, strictly for legal, security, or anti-fraud purposes:
- Backups: your data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after your request before being fully purged.
- Crash/diagnostic logs (Sentry): anonymous technical data only (no health or account data) — retained for 90 days.
- Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase): anonymous, aggregated usage events not tied to your identity may be retained up to 14 months, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Subscription and financial records: transaction records may be retained as required by law (typically 5–7 years), independent of your Tima account.
No health, fitness, or food-log data is ever retained after deletion — only the categories listed above.
For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.
